Site History (WOC Est. 1999)
This site was orginally intended to be Amiga only, I created a site called the Amiga ADF Archive that never went live, it sat on my hard-drive and thats about it (this was about 1998). So about a year later I decided to create a site about the C64 and Amiga, I asked my friend at the time James if he wanted to help aswell and he said that he would create and maintain a Spectrum section.

So there it was, I was the main webmaster and incharge of the Amiga and C64 sections and James was incharge of the Spectrum section and any news about Spectrum emulators. The World Of Classics went live in July 99 and was attracting more visits than we thought we would get, about 4 months on we added a remakes section which James orginally thought up, this proved very popular. Well a few months on and things started to get a bit rocky between James and I, we just couldn't get along with each other.

So James left the site and removed his Spectrum section, I continued the Remakes section but because Spectrum wasn't really my "thing" I kind of left the section alone. Well, a few months after the break up, things were looking very good indeed, hits were up by 400% and the Amiga section was growing fast. Then, due to the actions of some people all my accounts got deleted and the site was closed for 2-3 weeks. I have now moved to a more "secure" server and I think it should last me a good while. Now its back and this is where the "Site History" ends (for now).

During 2002 WOC was closed, this was due to various issues, one of them being lack of time to be able to do what I wanted to, therefore making me lose motivation. Now I have more time on my hands and seeing as WOC was extremely popular and even made it on TV - I've now decided to pick up where I left off and this time implement the ideas I couldnt last year.
